A Poem - The Assistant - Do You Like?

You're the pretty assistant

was how they first met

A pink blush was the response

with eyes at half mast

smiles lit and started a past

A gentleman from Britain

with upper class talk -

she answered with pure New York

She crisscrossed her legs

take a letter Marguerite

he leaned back and grinned replete

Accents blended as did hearts

sequestered meetings

late nights and data sheetings

He and she and appointed roles

mixed and equalized

a marriage uncompromised
A Poem - The Assistant - Do You Like?
Beautiful, as the lady herself.
Reply:Marguerite, this is great. I love the way it begins with "smiles lit and started a past" what a great way to set the scene where we get a brief look at budding love. Equally, the last line, "a marriage uncompromised", is a great way to conclude the poem. Lovely work.
Reply:With adroitness of thinking, and penning, you have mastered the 'Assistant'. Uniqueness, originality...for an otherwise common occurence....in someone else's writing, this would have become 'common' and ordinary.

Oh good! Gooder and goodest!!!
Reply:I think it is fine. Yes this is DP. I am sorry for everything. Please forgive me. I have reconciled with my wife and I miss our conversations. Please un block me. PLease.
Reply:An absolute treasure. Like a marriage uncompromised!
Reply:Great lines like: she answered with pure New York, with eyes at half mast and accents blended as did hearts. Well penned. My compliments.
Reply:A lovely poetic story and a memory to treasure.
Reply:Do not throw this one away!

It deserves a place hanging in the Martian Communal Dome, in a gold frame.
Reply:sappy, but nice!
Reply:Me like it...

(How are you, Luv? Holdin' up pretty good?)
